Cwesi Oteng, award-winning gospel musician has come out say it is bassless for Ghanaians to refer to him as a ‘gospel’ artiste.
The ‘God Dey Bless Me’ hit-maker who was on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hits told the host, Andy Dosty that it is too “overrated and baseless” to be referred as a gospel musician.
According to him, he prefers to call a ‘Christian’ artiste as it tallies with his purpose, plan and vision in the music industry.
Cwesi Oteng added that, he does not want to be labelled as urban nor contemporary artiste but a christian artiste.
“I don’t want to be urban, contemporary artiste. I am a Christian artiste. People want that, and I am not interested. I was not called to establish that. I am pushing a Christ agenda that is heavenly…” He maintained.
