Man, 27, In Court For Killing His Friend Over GHC 30

A 27-year old man, Kwadwo Afriyie is standing trail in court today for killing his friend with a pair of scissor on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 over GHC 30.

The deceased, 25- year old Amos Ekow is a son of the Assemblyman of the Aboabo Mempeasem within the Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

He met his untimely death after his own friend stabbed him severally in the tummy following a misunderstanding over Ghc 30.

Investigations by the Police reveal that, the suspect Kwadwo Afriyie stabbed his friend for failing to pay him an amount of Ghc 30 he borrowed the deceased.

According to an eye witness account,  Kwadwo Afriyie spotted the deceased  in the community and confronted him on why he had failed to honour his part of the bargain degenerating into a heated argument

The suspect threatened to kill him if he fails to pay him the amount owed.

He then rushed on him after tempers had flared following the argument and stabbed him twice on the chest with a pair of scissors resulting in his death.

Police rushed to the scene and apprehended the suspect who due for court today

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital pending autopsy.
