Sophia becomes the first real robot to star in a short film

We have seen it in the front row of Alexander Wang, hoarding all the flashes on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine and even being interviewed by Pablo Motos on El Hormiguero.

Her name is Sophia and she is the world’s most advanced humanoid robot with artificial intelligence. It was designed to learn human behavior and acquire social skills and the truth is that, despite having only three years of life, nothing goes wrong …

To his travels around the world, attending the most top events and his constant elbowing with celebrities now adds to his busy schedule a new facet: that of actress, since Sophia has “acted” in the first film starring a robot.

It is also not surprising considering that it was designed inspired by actress Audrey Hepburn. She is accompanied by Evan Rachel Wood in the distribution of a short film in the purest Westworld style.

The work in question is called SophiaWorld and in it, according to IMDb, the most famous robot in television (that is, Evan Rachel Wood) and the most famous humanoid robot in real life (Sophia, of course) you meet by chance in the bar of a posh hotel in New York. However, this chance encounter will end up being much more than it seems …

It will not be released until September 4 on Futurism.com but a small trailer is already available in which we find several references to the HBO series and Dolores, the character that Wood plays in it.

In the clip, we can see it disconnected until a voice asks you to wake up. The series logo appears then, just before the trailer is over, which suggests that everything could be a novel way of announcing the release date of the next season of Westworld.

The direct, Geoff Clark, has told Justjared about the experience of working with robots that ” directing a film starring a real one presents its challenges but, fortunately, I had someone as incredibly talented as Evan is to offer a convincing performance as opposed to a robot. It wasn’t easy but he did it flawlessly. ”

Will you be encouraged to repeat the experience and make along?
