Western Region To Get Five New District Hospitals – Akufo-Addo

 

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over the weekend has announced that government would build five new district hospitals to provide access to quality healthcare delivery to the people of Western Region.

He mentioned the Sefwi Akontombra, Nsuaem, Mpohor, Axim and Bogoso as some of the districts to benefit from government commitment to build new district hospitals to reduce the patient congestion in some districts across the country.

President Akufo-Addo made this announcement when he interacted with some chiefs in Tarkwa during his 3-day tour to the western region.

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo last Saturday announced that plans are underway to enable the government to construct five new district hospitals to give access to quality healthcare delivery and reduce pressure on the already existing facilities in the Western Region.

The construction of the new didn’t hospitals will reduce the patient congestion due to the increased in the country’s population.

The projects, according to Nana Akufo-Addo would commence this year and bridged the quality gap in access to healthcare to protect the poor and improve the conditions of the state of health facilities of the districts.

 

The projects when completed is expected to help reduce health related  problems in the rural communities and enable the government to fulfill it’s promises of ensuring that every district had at least a befiting hospital for quality healthcare delivery across the country.

The President announced this when he met some chiefs of the western region at Tarkwa to interact with them during his 3-dag tour of the western region at the weekend.

Nana Akufo-Addo also talked about the issue of galamsey that is destroying the water bodies and the forest as well as the regional Reorganizations.

The Omanhene of Mpohor Traditional Area, Osabarima Kwaw Entsei II on behalf of the chiefs in the mining communities pleased to the president to improve the road network in and around the mining communities and revive both Bonsa Tyre and Aboso Glass Factories that has been abandoned for decades.
